Differences between rigid universal joints and flexible universal joints

1、 By elasticity

The transmission shaft can be classified according to its important parts - universal joints. If the universal joint has obvious elasticity in the direction of torsion, it can be divided into rigid universal joint drive shaft and flexible universal joint drive shaft.

1. Rigid universal joint: It transmits power by hinge type connection of parts.

2. Deflection joint of ten thousand degrees: it transmits power by elastic parts and has the function of cushioning and shock absorption.

2、 By angular rate

Rigid universal joints can also be divided into variable velocity universal joints (such as cross type universal joints), quasi constant velocity universal joints (such as double joint and triple pin type universal joints) and constant velocity universal joints (such as ball cage type universal joints and ball fork type universal joints). Equal speed and unequal speed refer to whether the rotation angular rates of the driven shaft and the driven shaft are equal when they rotate with the driving shaft. Of course, the average speeds of the driving shaft and the driven shaft are equal.
