Noise Treatment Of Gearbox

Gearbox is an important component widely used in mechanical transmission. When a pair of gears are engaged, due to inevitable errors such as tooth pitch and tooth profile, meshing impact will occur during operation, resulting in noise corresponding to gear meshing frequency, and friction noise will also occur between tooth surfaces due to relative sliding. As gear is the basic part of gearbox transmission, it is necessary to reduce gear noise to control gear box noise. Generally speaking, the main causes of gear system noise are as follows:

1. Gear design. Improper parameter selection, too small overlap, improper or no modification of tooth profile, unreasonable structure of gearbox, etc. In gear processing, the base pitch error and tooth profile error are too large, the tooth side clearance is too large, and the surface roughness is too large.

2. Gear train and gearbox. Eccentricity of assembly, low contact accuracy, poor parallelism of shaft, insufficient rigidity of shaft, bearing and support, low rotary accuracy of bearing and improper clearance, etc.

3. Input torque in other aspects. Fluctuation of load torque, torsional vibration of shafting, balance of motor and other transmission pairs, etc.
