The universal coupling will produce unbalanced inertial force, centrifugal force and even dynamic deflection during operation due to various centroids or the misalignment between the inertial spindle and its acceleration axis, which is called the imbalance of the rotor. This imbalance will inevitably lead to shaft vibration, thus affecting the normal operation and use of the machine. Therefore, we must pay attention to it.
In order to reduce the impact of this phenomenon as much as possible, the universal coupling improves this phenomenon by doing dynamic balancing. After the completion of product manufacturing and installation on the machine, the balance or correction plane specified by the coupling shall be made to meet the requirements of balance grade by adding or reducing appropriate quality. This process is called balance correction, or balance for short.
